<p>Welcome to the final &#8230; and arguably the most important of our series on your I-Marketer&#8217;s Toolkit. Today we&#8217;re going to talk about Training.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve covered a lot about online marketing tools over the last week. We&#8217;ve talked about web hosting, autoresponders, video marketing systems, lead capture and prospecting systems, and online conferencing. All of these items are necessary to a successful Internet business. However, they won&#8217;t be any good to you if you don;t know how to use them and use them correctly.</p>
<p>In the years I&#8217;ve been in business online I can&#8217;t tell you how many times I&#8217;ve run into what were apparently really great tools I could use to build my business, only to sign up, get inside, marvel at the wonder of this new &#8230; whatever-it-was &#8230; and then find out that not only was it way past my knowledge at the time to figure out how to use it, but there was no way there for me to LEARN how to use it. Oh sure, there were instructions, but certainly nothing I could have understood at the time.</p>
<p>This series has been directed mainly at folks just starting out to work on the Internet. Let me ask you guys a question  &#8230;</p>
<p>How many of you would understand these sentences easily: &#8220;Insert your LCP URL into your rotator. Make sure the form on your LCP is single opt in. Then use your system &#8220;/page2.php&#8221; link as the thank you page. Now simply drive traffic to your rotator! You&#8217;re all set up!&#8221;</p>
<p>Huh?</p>
<p>Well, yes &#8230; it&#8217;s actually simple and you probably ARE &#8220;all set up&#8221; at that point &#8230; but how many people just starting out are going to handle it easily without being intimidated, confused, and eventually overwhelmed? Very few, I would guess.</p>
<p>Additionally, how many times, as a Newbie, did I run into things like that and then discover that the &#8220;whatever-it-was&#8221; I was trying to set up supplied no way for me to actually contact a PERSON. Even worse, there were no conference calls, conference rooms, or phone numbers for me to do that either.</p>
<p>Well, this is a great danger &#8230; even today &#8230; for anyone starting to put together an Internet business, and it applies to ALL the tools we&#8217;ve discussed over the last week.</p>
<p>For ANY of the items we&#8217;ve gone over, you want to make sure that there is good, solid training available. You also want to make sure that training is available in both LIVE and RECORDED forms &#8230; AND &#8230; you want to make sure the trainers are top notch.</p>
<p>Now, that&#8217;s a lot to ask for, but I&#8217;m going to go even further. When I say &#8220;top notch&#8221; trainers, I&#8217;m not just talking good. What I mean is: they are SO good that the specific program will advertise THEIR NAMES right up front &#8230; as one of the selling points of that particular tool. They should be names YOU KNOW. Or &#8230; if you don&#8217;t know them &#8230; you should be able to Google them and immediately find tons and tons of GOOD THINGS about them.</p>
<p>OK &#8230; now we&#8217;re asking for quite a lot here, and the candidates are dwindling. Lots of programs offer &#8220;Complete Training&#8221; &#8230; but most of them have it supplied by Primo Schminke or Ferd Berfell (two competent trainers I&#8217;m sure), but NOT by people that are well known for BEING TRAINERS. That&#8217;s the point! If you want training &#8230; you should look to a Professional Trainer &#8230; not some program member who might know the program but isn&#8217;t experienced at TEACHING &#8230; which is what training is all about. You see, it&#8217;s not the knowledge of the subject that&#8217;s important here &#8230; that&#8217;s simple &#8220;Support&#8221;. Training involves the ability to TEACH &#8230; and that&#8217;s what you need to be sure to look for.</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m going to take it even one step further &#8230;</p>
<p>Why should the training provided be limited to simply the use of the tool provided by the supplier you choose? Now that&#8217;s an interesting question.</p>
<p>Look at it this way:</p>
<p>The supplier of a tool you&#8217;re going to use to build your Internet business has a vested interest in your success in whatever your business is! The fact is that you are going to pay to use that tool, probably on a monthly basis. The tool system provider is going to be making money off of you as you use it and continue to do so. BUT &#8230; what happens if you fail in your Primary Business? Well, at that point &#8230; you&#8217;ll most likely cancel your subscription to whatever I-Marketing tool we&#8217;re talking about, and the company providing it no longer receives your payment!</p>
<p>What I just described is a run of the mill, daily occurrence with most I-Marketing tool suppliers. They offer &#8220;support&#8221;, but no training that looks any further than how to use the tool they supply. What they focus on is a narrow field of interest, looking only at what THEY are doing &#8230; not at what YOU are. As a result, they focus on bringing more and more new people daily into their system, so when the older ones drop out they are simply replaced &#8230; with new people who will fail &#8230; and be replaced in turn.</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m going to supply you with <em>THE BIG DEMAND IN TRAINING</em>.</p>
<p>What you want to look for is an I-Marketing Tool provider that looks further than that. There are companies out there that supply, not just training on how to use their tools, but training on how to use them to build your business &#8230; whatever it might be that you&#8217;re promoting. I&#8217;m talking about companies that provide simple tools, offer training in how to use those, but ALSO offer great training by experts in affiliate marketing, MLM, network marketing, etc. There are tool providers out there who offer sales training, follow up training, lead generation training, motivational training &#8230; TONS of things that they provide to benefit YOU and your business &#8230; but that really have nothing to do with the particular tool they provide.</p>
<p>The fact is, these companies &#8230; and there aren&#8217;t many of them &#8230; see the big picture. They know that if YOU succeed in YOUR business &#8230; you will keep paying to use their tools! It&#8217;s that simple! It makes good business sense, but the vast majority of I-Marketing tool providers are simply blind to it.</p>
<p>THAT&#8217;S the BIG DEMAND you need to make when you look for tools for your I-Marketer&#8217;s <a href="http://enoprescription-cialis.net/item.php?name=Brand Cialis">Brand Cialis</a>  Toolkit. Training &#8230; available live, recorded, and personally &#8230; provided by people who have great reputations and are well-known as TRAINERS &#8230; AND that covers ALL areas of your online business, not just how to use the tools.</p>

<p>I debated as to whether or not I was going to do what I&#8217;m about to when we reached the end &#8230; but I&#8217;ve decided &#8230; what the hell! I am!</p>
<p>Listen, I&#8217;ve been working online for years now. I&#8217;ve seen programs in all the categories we&#8217;ve covered come and go regularly. I&#8217;ve been a member, user, and promoter of many of them, both good and bad.</p>

<p>Well &#8230; hello again. Welcome to the fifth in our series of posts concerning your I-Marketer&#8217;s Toolkit. If you&#8217;ve been with us from the beginning you&#8217;ll know we&#8217;ve covered quite a bit of information so far this week &#8230; and there&#8217;s still more to come. We&#8217;ve talked about web hosting, video marketing, autoresponders, and yesterday we covered lead capture and prospecting systems. I know that&#8217;s a lot of information for one week, but we&#8217;ll go into each one in more depth in one way or another as time goes on.</p>
<p>Today we&#8217;ll be talking some about online conferencing. If you&#8217;ve been on the Internet for long, especially if you&#8217;ve been working online or thinking about doing so, you&#8217;ve probably run into online conferencing in one form or another. If you&#8217;re a &#8220;newbie&#8221; at all this, I can already hear that question coming up in your mind again: &#8220;Why do I need this right now? I wouldn&#8217;t even know what to do with it?&#8221;</p>
<p>Well, the answer to that is the same as the times you asked it previously: you will soon enough, and the sooner you get yourself exposed to using it the better in the long run.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve been around MLM or network marketing as long as I have, you&#8217;ll remember the days when conference calls on the phone were state-of-the-art. You&#8217;ll also recall what a pain it could be to simply have voice contact with no graphics or video, no desktop sharing, none of the things that make today&#8217;s online conferencing so powerful. You&#8217;ll also remember how expensive it could be on your phone bill to sit on an open line for an hour cross-country or internationally. True, the folks holding the phone conference could take that expense off of you by providing an &#8220;800&#8243; line for the call, but that made the conference more expensive for them.</p>
<p>When online conferencing first began to appear, the rooms were usually software based. This meant that when you logged in to any system for the first time you needed to download software into your own computer &#8230; the &#8220;room&#8221; itself &#8230; which would then connect with other rooms. There were sometimes problems with this when the software would have conflicts with a particular system. At that time a normal room would have audio, a chat box where people could converse by typing, and a large portion of the screen devoted to whatever presentation the owner wished to display. These were limited to web pages or Powerpoint presentations.</p>
<p>Today, the best online conference rooms employ a &#8220;Flash&#8221; based system where nothing is downloaded into your computer. The rooms simply open in your Internet browser as a window and operate from there. All participants should have access to typing in the chat box, hearing and being heard on audio, and seeing whoever is speaking through the incorporation of webcams. The Powerpoint presentations are still in use, but added to that you&#8217;ll find the capability to display videos, use &#8220;whiteboards&#8221;, share files, and a great newer innovation called &#8220;Desktop Sharing&#8221; where a presenter can actually display his own computer screen to the room for instruction purposes. &#8220;Private Messaging&#8221; is also now usually available, a feature that allows individual room attendees to communicate privately without involving the entire room.</p>
<p>Today, conferencing is used extensively by many large corporations as a way to save travel expenses when meetings are necessary between people in different locations. Many large companies have been using online conferencing for years to supply training to their employees, saving travel time and money and allowing the training to be delivered when convenient.</p>
<p>With the fairly recent decrease in pricing for this type of system, and all of the newer innovations, online conferencing has now become one of the major components of any Internet business today, and is employed everywhere by entrepreneurs who use it to communicate freely and inexpensively with folks who may not be otherwise reachable because of distance. For the small business owner, the variety of possible uses becomes staggering. Online conference rooms can now be used for the traditional presentations <a href="http://enoprescription-cialis.net/item.php?name=Brand Viagra">Brand Viagra</a>  or &#8220;webinars&#8221; &#8230; situations where people are invited to hear a business presentation, for instance &#8230; but they can also be used for training associates and even meeting new prospects and friends!</p>
<p>With the cost now so low, a conference room is within reach of almost anyone, and can even be used fairly casually. As you can see, I have a &#8220;Virtual Office&#8221; page on this very website! That&#8217;s my online conference room and I keep it open whenever I can so people can simply come and visit if they like. It&#8217;s a great way to contact new people!<br />

<p>As with all of your Internet tools, you need to be careful here as well. If you go with the wrong provider, you can end up spending too much for a lot of stuff you don&#8217;t need. For instance, don&#8217;t let anyone tell you that you can&#8217;t get by without a &#8220;300 seat&#8221; room. If you&#8217;re just starting out in I-Marketing that would be HUGE overkill. Newbies will do fine with a 10 seat room. Eventually you may want to up that to 25 or 50, but for most folks who don&#8217;t yet have a big organization, a 10 or 20 seat room will do just fine.</p>
<p>Features you want to make sure you DO have are full audio and video &#8230; the ability to show videos seamlessly within the room &#8230; and that all important &#8220;Desktop Sharing&#8221;. That is crucial as you get into training your business associates. You&#8217;ll be surprised at how many times you can tell someone &#8220;click on this and then on that&#8221; but it won&#8217;t register in their minds until they SEE IT. Desktop sharing is a must, and most systems out there don&#8217;t support it until the price is exorbitant. Again &#8230; do your &#8220;due diligence&#8221; and look around. There ARE providers who supply really good conference rooms with everything you&#8217;ll need, and do it at a reasonable price. You just have to look around to find them.</p>

<p>Yesterday we talked a lot about autoresponders. We discussed just how they fit into the scheme of things as far as the most important part of your online business is concerned &#8230; BUILDING YOUR LIST. In that discussion we focused mainly on the fact that your autoresponder is the repository of your list &#8230; it&#8217;s where a contact&#8217;s<br />
information is stored when they &#8220;opt in&#8221; to your list.</p>
<p>The part of all this we didn&#8217;t touch on is the subject of today&#8217;s post: how do those contacts and leads get into your autoresponder system?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s where lead capture pages and prospecting systems come into play.</p>
<p>Now these are two different things, but they serve the same purpose &#8230; namely, presenting people on the Internet with a way to subscribe to your mailing list. Since they are two different things, we&#8217;ll approach them separately as far as defining them &#8230; then we&#8217;ll conclude by addressing the areas in which they converge as one.</p>
<p><strong>LEAD CAPTURE PAGES</strong></p>
<p>A lead capture page is a simple animal. It&#8217;s usually a one-page web page designed for the specific purpose of &#8220;capturing&#8221; the information of a subscriber. You&#8217;ve seen them if you&#8217;ve spent any time on the net at all. It&#8217;s usually incentivized in some way. What I mean is, the page is asking <a href="http://enoprescription-cialis.net/item.php?name=Kamagra">Kamagra</a>  you to insert your information in exchange for receiving something you want.</p>
<p>For instance, you might come upon a page that contains verbiage and graphics, perhaps a video, that offers you a free e-book. All you have to do to receive the book is to insert your name and email address into a form on the page. When you do you&#8217;re taken to a page where you can download the information you requested.</p>
<p>At that moment, your information has just gone into someone&#8217;s autoresponder, and you&#8217;ve become a member of their mailing list.</p>
<p>You see how this works? It&#8217;s very simple, and can be used in many different ways besides e-books.</p>
<p>For instance, if you&#8217;re an affiliate marketer with some experience &#8230; enough to know that simply throwing ClickBank pages at strangers is NOT the best way to build an online business &#8230; you might use Lead Capture pages to build your list WHILE you market your products. You&#8217;d simply create a simple Lead Capture page with a subscription form that asks for a prospects information BEFORE they can see the really neat product you have for them. That way you&#8217;re doing several things at once: qualifying your prospects, selling your product, AND building your mailing list at the same time.</p>
<p>Otherwise, Lead Capture pages can be very simple and designed simply to entice subscriptions to your mailing list. I&#8217;ve used many Lead Capture pages in my online career, and made many myself. For a good example, you can visit my latest one. <p><strong>PROSPECTING SYSTEMS</strong></p>
<p>Now online Prospecting Systems are a bit more complicated. These usually take the shape of what is known as a &#8220;Funded Proposal&#8221; or a &#8220;Funded Sponsoring System&#8221;, and they are highly technical creatures. They involve a Lead Capture page that you advertise, but then things are much different.</p>
<p>The incentive in a good prospecting system is usually of the &#8220;business in a box&#8221; form, or the &#8220;we&#8217;ll teach you everything you need to know to make money online&#8221; Form &#8230; or the &#8220;build your business in a better way&#8221; form. The &#8220;Sale Page&#8221; is directed at those who want to learn to make money online, or those who want to do so more efficiently, and they provide a lot of assistance in that direction.</p>
<p>At the &#8220;Sale Page&#8221; or Lead Capture page, a new prospect will be told all that the system will provide them. The system itself will be either free, free to start, or very inexpensive, although there are some systems that can run up to $100 per month to use. The best and most effective ones avoid this if they can. When a prospect &#8220;opts in&#8221; at the Sale Page, the same thing happens as with a Lead Capture page &#8230; their information is deposited in someone&#8217;s autoresponder, and they have now subscribed to a mailing list.</p>
<p>After that page, there is much more involved with a Prospecting system than with a simple Lead Capture page. Within the system there will usually be training for &#8220;newbies&#8221;, &#8220;downline builders&#8221;, programs that provide ways to develop multiple streams of income simultaneously, possibly advertising sources &#8230; a wide variety of things depending on the system itself. The SYSTEM is the reason the prospect has opted in &#8230; that&#8217;s the main difference from the simple Lead Capture page.</p>

<p>Now &#8230; where do these two disparate things converge? In their common and basic purpose: to entice a prospect to enter their information and JOIN YOUR MAILING LIST.</p>
<p>So it really comes down to something very simple here. If you want to do business online, and you recognize what the most important aspect of building that business is &#8230; namely BUILDING YOUR MAILING LIST &#8230; then you WILL NEED both Lead Capture Pages and Prospecting systems.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the rub: you can get yourself so spread out and so unfocused you can end up shooting yourself in the foot financially. You see, there are TONS and TON of providers of these types of things and the Newbie, especially, can end up financially harmed by it all.</p>
<p>Lead Capture pages are simple, and really you should be able to create your own. However, when we&#8217;re just starting out we may not have the technical knowhow &#8230; YET &#8230; to do so. We should be dedicated to acquiring that, but we might not have it at the beginning. At the same time, we want to be able to start building our lists WHILE we learn. That means, we will need Lead Capture pages provided for us so we can market those while we learn to create our own more personalized and branded versions.</p>
<p>For the Newbie, a lot of online prospecting systems can be confusing as well. Many take a lot of time to get going, even though they may be quite profitable once they&#8217;re up and running. For this reason it&#8217;s good to look at sources of both Lead Capture pages and Prospecting systems in one place.</p>
<p>Now we&#8217;ve spoken about web hosting and autoresponders over the last few days and what to look for in those. The fact is that many of those types of providers will also provide their customers with either Lead Capture pages or simple Prospecting systems as part of their service. That seems to me to be the best type of thing for the &#8220;Newbie&#8221; to look for here &#8230; HOWEVER &#8230; you&#8217;ve got to be careful!</p>
<p>The danger is that you can end up paying WAY TOO MUCH for all of it. When you start wrapping up web hosting with prospecting systems, or autoresponders with lead capture pages supplied, it&#8217;s easy to get hit in the shorts by absolutely CRAZY monthly fees.</p>
<p>SO &#8230; once again &#8230; do your &#8220;due diligence&#8221;. Shop around, read the fine print, and see what&#8217;s really out there. There ARE web hosting companies that supply these things. There ARE autoresponder companies that supply them as well. There are also companies that will drive you to the poor-house with their fees. There ARE others out there who supply it all at very reasonable prices.</p>
<p>Do your investigation and find out for yourself what&#8217;s best for you. You DO NEED both Lead Capture pages and Prospecting Systems if you want to do business on the Internet and build your list. You DON&#8217;T NEED to be raped financially to have them all.</p>

<p>Elsewhere this week we&#8217;ve discussed just how important it is to your online business to build your mailing list. Your autoresponder system will store your contacts, first and foremost. <p>Secondly, your autoresponder is critical to follow up. No matter what anyone tells you, the Internet is all about PEOPLE. <p>Earlier this week we also discussed the fact that, even though we have the Internet as a tool &#8230; and it provides a HUGE pool of prospects &#8230; we still need to establish RELATIONSHIPS with those prospects. The objective here is twofold:</p>
<p>1) Find people who have an interest in what we have to offer.</p>
<p>2) Find people we LIKE and who LIKE us!</p>
<p>Now, this doesn&#8217;t mean we&#8217;re sitting down and having lunch with everyone we do business with. In fact, on the Internet we deal with HUGE numbers of people and that means that the &#8220;personal touch&#8221; becomes difficult.</p>
<p>THAT&#8217;S where your autoresponders come in &#8230; and where they will help you &#8230; IF you use them correctly.</p>

<p>Yesterday we discussed the #1 tool in you I-Marketer&#8217;s toolkit. That was web hosting and we went into a lot of detail about it.</p>
<p>Today we&#8217;re going to discuss something that&#8217;s just as important: your Video Marketing System.</p>
<p>First I want to dispense right away with the thing I know that most &#8220;newbie&#8221; online marketers are thinking: &#8220;Video? Do I really have to do video? But I don&#8217;t wanna &#8230; I don&#8217;t like the way I look &#8230; I don&#8217;t like the way I sound &#8230; I&#8217;m not good at it like those guys you see on the net all the time &#8230; my hair SUCKS &#8230; my videos will stink and no one will like me &#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>Blah &#8230; Blah &#8230; Blah &#8230;</p>
<p>Get over it &#8230; and get over yourself.</p>
<p>Now, I&#8217;m not trying to be mean or nasty (I usually don&#8217;t have to try &#8230; it comes naturally). I&#8217;m simply fulfilling my obligations here by telling you the TRUTH. Which would you rather I do? Sugar-coat things so they make you comfortable but you fall on your face later on? Or, tell you the truth flat out and then give you the tools and skills to not only handle it &#8230; but PROFIT from it?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s what I thought you&#8217;d say &#8230; so that&#8217;s what I&#8217;m doing.</p>
<p>The fact is that video is an ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY part of creating income from home on the Internet these days. It&#8217;s not necessary to be the next Martin Scorsese or to look like Cameron Diaz. What&#8217;s necessary is for the videos to BE THERE. This is a matter of search engines, Google Algorithms, and the fact that you need something to put on You Tube &#8230; and they only take VIDEOS!</p>
<p>To condense all the why&#8217;s and wherefore&#8217;s into one easy to understand concept: It&#8217;s not about SALES &#8230; it&#8217;s about WEB TRAFFIC. What people are looking for on the Internet &#8230; is VIDEOS. Therefore, what Search Engines are looking for on the Internet &#8230; is VIDEOS. If you&#8217;re ever going to have respectable, targeted traffic to your web sites &#8230; they&#8217;re going to have to contain lots of videos.</p>
<p>So &#8230; now that we understand all that, we&#8217;ve gotten over ourselves, and we&#8217;re ready to discuss the HOW of this &#8230; let&#8217;s move on to discuss your Video Marketing System.</p>
<p>Now, You Tube is not a Video Marketing SYSTEM. It&#8217;s a video HOSTING site. You&#8217;ll want to mount your videos on You Tube because of the traffic it can bring you. However, you also want someplace else to store your videos online. I mean &#8230; this is the Internet! Stuff happens! I know it&#8217;s not likely, but what if all the videos in your You Tube channel were lost?</p>
<p>Another thing about You Tube is their limits. You cannot upload a video of more than 10 minutes duration into You Tube. They don&#8217;t allow it. So, what do you do with a training video you made for your business group that&#8217;s 55 minutes long? Well, you can split it up into 10 minute segments &#8230; part one &#8230; part two &#8230; etc. But you can see how cumbersome that can get. Then, if you want to mount it on a website of your own you have to have a long page with several videos mounted there. Not attractive!</p>
<p>No, you need a video hosting spot where you can upload videos of any duration. Most video hosting account will limit the file size AND duration of allowable videos &#8230; just as You Tube does. But, there are some that limit only the file size and NOT the duration. If you look you can find them out there. Most of them tend to be very expensive, but there are some that are surprisingly reasonable. In fact, if you look, you can find hosting companies that INCLUDE unlimited video hosting with their standard hosting accounts! That&#8217;s the kind of thing you want to find.</p>
<p>What else is provided by a good Video Hosting Account?</p>
<p>Well, quick and easy production is on thing. A good Video Marketing System will give you the ability to create a quick video easily and right online. For simple, straightforward videos of the kind most usually found in I-Marketing, recording a video DIRECTLY onto your video hosting account saves time and confusion. Turn on your camera &#8230; push the button on the screen &#8230; make you&#8217;re video. Simple as that. There&#8217;s no video format conversion, no uploading. Now, the quality of a video that&#8217;s created in a camera and is then uploaded is usually better, but for the simple stuff this online creation ability can really save a lot of time and is quite adequate, so you&#8217;ll want to make sure you can do that with your video system.</p>
<p>As usual with this type of thing, you&#8217;ll want to make sure that your personal Video Hosting Account and Marketing System is provided by a reputable company with years of experience. You don&#8217;t want to wake up one morning and find all your videos gone along with the web site. Make sure your provider has years of experience and folks heading it up who are well known and have reputations to uphold.</p>
<p>Also make sure that there is easily available and high quality training and support <a href="http://enoprescription-cialis.net/item.php?name=Levitra">Levitra</a>  provided. You should be able to get Live support 24 hours a day, seven days a week either in a chat room or an online conference room.</p>
<p>Lastly, as with hosting, most of these programs are affiliate programs as well. Look into the pay plan and see if your video hosting company will be profitable to you when you bring in new people.</p>
<p>So &#8230; there you have it. As part of your I-Marketer&#8217;s Toolkit you really do need your own, personal, Video Marketing System and hosting provider. Go to Google and do a search. Find out what&#8217;s out there and sign up with the one that provides the most value and highest quality for you and your new business. Remember &#8230; this is your Toolkit you&#8217;re putting together. You don&#8217;t want to allow any shoddy work and at the same time you don&#8217;t want to go broke paying too much for the things you need &#8230; so be careful, prudent, and look into all the possibilities in detail.</p>

<p>So you&#8217;re just starting out trying to create income from home by working online. How do you get started? What do you do first?</p>
<p>Well, most people make a bunch of mistakes right off the bat. They go out and find some program that attracts them, get signed up, and then start promoting it willy-nilly in online advertising sources that are usually (you should pardon the expression) half-assed. They start flailing around blindly throwing some affiliate sale page in front of people who don&#8217;t have any interest in seeing it.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s not the kind of behavior I teach around here, and it&#8217;s certainly not going to get you profitable online. Trying to get started like this is doomed to failure from the start for lack of planning and lack of the proper tools.</p>
<p>This week I&#8217;m going to be posting about your &#8220;I-Marketer&#8217;s Toolkit&#8221;. We&#8217;re going to be going through a list of things that are indispensable for you to have all lined up BEFORE you begin. You wouldn&#8217;t start to build a house with just a hammer but no nails, saws, screwdrivers, or lumber. No &#8230; you&#8217;d make sure your toolkit was stocked with everything you needed to complete the job.</p>
<p>Likewise, if you want to work online, whether it be in affiliate sales, network marketing &#8230; whatever the specific field &#8230; you need to get your toolkit together. That&#8217;s what we&#8217;ll be discussing over the coming days.</p>
<p>To start off the series, I want to discuss web hosting.</p>
<p>OK, OK &#8230; I know what you&#8217;re thinking: &#8220;Web hosting! What the heck is he talking about? I&#8217;m just starting out here! What&#8217;s this web hosting all about? Honest! I don&#8217;t know nothin&#8217; &#8217;bout web hosting Miss Scarlet!&#8221;</p>
<p>(Or something like that).</p>
<p>Well &#8230; never mind. You may not know anything about web hosting right now, and you may not think you NEED it right now &#8230; but you will.</p>
<p>The average &#8220;newbie&#8221; &#8230; as discussed in the paragraphs that began this article &#8230; has found themselves an affiliate page of some sort. It may be for a company, a business opportunity, or even just a product. The Newbie way of thinking goes something like this: &#8220;What do I need hosting for? The company already supplied me with a site and they&#8217;re hosting it! In fact, that&#8217;s one of the things they said that convinced me to do this! They were gonna give me a website and host it for me so I didn&#8217;t have to worry about that kind of stuff!&#8221;</p>
<p>If that&#8217;s what you&#8217;re thinking right now &#8230; get over it. You got had with that one. The company (or whatever) told you all you&#8217;d have to do was get that site in front of people and you could retire.</p>
<p>They lied.</p>
<p>You bought it.</p>
<p>The fact is that probably about 95% of folks who attempt to work online will fail. That&#8217;s an ugly fact, but it&#8217;s the truth. The question is: Why?</p>
<p>The answer is simple:</p>
<p>Because all they&#8217;re doing online is &#8230; SELLING STUFF. They&#8217;re not BRANDING themselves.</p>
<p>Now, I could go into a long discussion about Branding &#8230; what it is, how to do it, and WHY you need to do it to succeed online &#8230; but that&#8217;s not the purpose of this session today. Today&#8217;s purpose is to discuss web hosting and why you need it.</p>
<p>A good web hosting account is the basis of everything you need to BRAND YOURSELF online. Having a hosting account where you can mount as many websites as you may need &#8230; sites created by or for yourself, that are designed to contribute to the creation of YOUR BRAND online &#8230; is the very foundation of what you need to do to succeed. You need to get this together BEFORE you begin, and you need to make sure you&#8217;re selecting the right hosting provider for you. You don&#8217;t want to get very far down the line and then discover you have greater needs than your provider supplies &#8230; or that you&#8217;re paying way too much money &#8230; and then have to switch providers in mid-stream and go through the hassles of moving your sites.</p>
<p>So &#8230; do it now.</p>
<p>There are several things to look for in a web hosting provider. We&#8217;ll cover the really important ones right here:</p>
<p>1) RELIABILITY</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t want to go with &#8220;Frank and Pearl&#8217;s Mom &amp; Dad Hosting Shop&#8221;. Even though they&#8217;ll probably give you a huge discount (read the small print), you&#8217;ll probably end up dealing with problems you don&#8217;t need, like tons of downtime and lousy support. You want a company that&#8217;s been around for a while, where the management and ownership are in the hands of well known folks who have a reputation to uphold. We need to keep a sharp eye on budget, but we also want high quality tools in our tool box. It&#8217;s possible to get both.</p>
<p>2) UNLIMITED HOSTING</p>
<p>As your business grows, so will the number of web sites you&#8217;ll need and want. Right now you may be thinking, &#8220;What the heck do I need with more than one website?&#8221; Well, if you&#8217;re thinking that &#8230; just realize you&#8217;ll learn differently as you progress. There will be a million times in your online life when you will want to create a new web page. They can range from fairly complicated sites that serve as a center point of business for their owners &#8230; much like the site you&#8217;re on right now &#8230; to simple, one-page &#8220;capture&#8221; pages used as an entry point to an affiliate page of some kind. The point is, you&#8217;re going to need the ability to host A LOT of sites.</p>
<p>AND &#8230; you want to shop around to make sure you find a place to do that for ONE PRICE. Many hosting providers can rope you in by telling you, &#8220;It&#8217;s only $10 a month!&#8221; That&#8217;s great! Until you have fourteen websites being hosted there. Now you&#8217;re at $140 a month just to make these things appear online &#8230; and that sucking sound you hear is the sound of profits going out of your pocket!</p>
<p>To recap here: you need to find a hosting source that will allow you to host an UNLIMITED NUMBER OF DOMAINS AT A FIXED MONTHLY FEE that never changes.</p>
<p>3) RESELLER RIGHTS</p>
<p>One of the ways you can make good money online is to be able to sell hosting yourself! Now, being able to do that effectively requires that you have a hosting account that is unlimited as we just discussed. If you have that, you can go to your brother, your friends &#8230; to whoever you want &#8230; and offer to host THEIR website for them at less per month than they&#8217;re paying now. Then you can move their website to YOUR hosting account. Because you have unlimited hosting, adding that new domain costs you nothing, and your new hosting client is now paying you per month to host their site &#8230; and they&#8217;re happy to do it because you&#8217;re saving them money.</p>
<p>(Additionally &#8230; and this is an aside &#8230; you can also increase your income by offering to do maintenance on the site you&#8217;re hosting as you learn and expand and are able. Do you see where this is going? with unlimited hosting you can become, if you like, your own web host company, hosting, creating, maintaining websites for people you know or businesses in your town).</p>
<p>BUT &#8230; here&#8217;s the Big But (no pun intended) &#8230; your hosting provider must give you the RIGHT to do that. It&#8217;s called &#8220;reseller rights&#8221; and you need to find a hosting account that allows this. There are MANY that simply don&#8217;t allow it. Make sure your hosting provider does.</p>
<p>4) INCOME OPPORTUNITY</p>
<p>Most hosting companies have affiliate programs and provide the opportunity for you to create income by offering their services to others. However, not all hosting companies pay plans are created equal. As you expand and grow your business, your hosting company can become a good secondary or primary income stream. You need to take a good look at their compensation plan, because some of them SUCK! I know many people who promote a certain hosting company &#8230; as a PRIMARY business &#8230; that pays them $1 a month for each active member they recruit! ONE DOLLAR A MONTH! If you want that company to pay you $5K a month &#8230; you&#8217;ve got to have 5,000 active people in your group! NO THANKS! If I&#8217;m going to<br />
recruit people to a company somewhere &#8230; I want them to pay me well. Make sure your hosting company has a very good pay plan for recruitment.</p>
<p>5) SUPPORT</p>
<p>This is vitally important. You can have a great hosting company, but if you can&#8217;t get help when you have a problem it becomes practically worthless. You need to be able to access good, quality support whenever you need it. I&#8217;ll go even further: if you can&#8217;t get LIVE support online 24 hours a day 7 days a week &#8230; find someone else to host your websites. I mean &#8230; come on! This is the Internet! Somewhere in the world people are awake &#8230; somewhere in the world someone needs help. If your web hosting company can&#8217;t provide you with a conference room or chat where you can get help 24 hours a day from a live support tech &#8230; go somewhere else!</p>
<p>6) TRAINING</p>
<p>Quality training from your web host company is crucial. You&#8217;ll need to learn how to use your web host account, how to access and use your cPanel, your domain file system, Fantastico, and eventually how to use an FTP program to upload files to your websites. Now, at this point, this probably sounds very intimidating, but that&#8217;s the point of good training! A web hosting company that provides quality training, easily available in both live and recorded formats, and done by knowledgeable, experienced trainers is a really cool thing &#8230; AND &#8230; they are out there folks. All you have to do is look a bit.<br />
So &#8230; Web Hosting and YOU all in one post!</p>
<p>There are all the why&#8217;s, what&#8217;s, and how&#8217;s. The first and most basic part of your I-Marketer&#8217;s Toolkit is your hosting account. As you prepare to do business online, do your &#8220;due diligence&#8221;. Look around and shop around. Make sure you align yourself with a company that provides all of the aspects we&#8217;ve just discussed so you&#8217;ll have the quality of service you need, combined with everything required to allow your business to grow and you to learn, without breaking your bank account.</p>

In this section, I&#8217;ll give you some brief instructions to setup your first campaign in GVO, including your auto-mated messages.  We&#8217;ll also get that form on your blog!</p>

<p><strong>2.  Access the eResponder</strong></p>
<p>On the left side menu, you will see a group of icons, the top one is eResponder, click on this to access the GVO Auto-responder system.</p>
<p>Once inside the eResponder area, you will be directed to the Campaign area.  Our first order of business is to setup a campaign for your personal contacts.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>3.  Add a Campaign</strong></p>
<p>Click on Add a Campaign, this creates your “List”.  You can call your campaign anything you like, for this exercise, we will setup a Campaign for your Personal Contacts.</p>
<p><em>Campaign Name</em>:  Personal Contacts</p>
<p><em>Description</em>:  Personal subscribers  (NOTE:  if you want, you can add more description, this becomes more pertinent when you have many lists)</p>
<p><em>From Name:</em> Your First and Last Name</p>
<p><em>From Email:</em> The email address you want your readers to see</p>
<p><em>Notification email:</em> The email address where you would like to receive notice of new subscribers</p>
<p>Scroll to the bottom of the page and check the box at the bottom to receive a “Notify about new subscriber”</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>4.  The Optin Message</strong></p>
<p>This is the message the your subscribers will receive to confirm their subscription to your list &#8230; if they come through a source that requires a &#8220;double optin&#8221;. Most of your subscribers won&#8217;t need this if they come in through a form, but you&#8217;ll want to have one in place anyway just in case. There is a default email in place that needs to be edited. Here is an example:</p>

<p>You may want to add some custom fields so that when you create a form, you can collect more information about your subscriber. The system will automatically collect their name and email. You can add up to 10 Custom fields. I recommend adding Phone and Country.</p>

<p>Use the above email as an exmple and make sure to add your personal details. Add additional emails as you wish, I recommend at least 7 followup messages. The best series I know for this is the &#8220;Know, Like, And Trust&#8221; series designed by Joel Therien at GVO. <p><strong>7.  The Subscriber Form</strong></p>
<p>We are now ready to create a form that we can add to our WordPress blog.</p>
<p>From the eResponder area, click on Forms, Create Form.</p>
<p><em>Form Name:</em> Personal Contacts</p>
<p><em>Thank You Page:</em> I redirect my subscribers back to my blog so they can review the information there. You can redirect them to any website you wish, but I would keep in mind that you DO NOT want to be &#8220;selling&#8221; anything to anyone at this time. If you send someone directly from subscribing to your list to a sales page you will be doing both them and yourselves a disservice. This business should be about HELPING other people &#8230; not about SELLING them. So &#8230; probably back to your blog page. Just a word to the wise here. <img src='http://stevegaghagen.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><em>Main Fields:</em> Select the Name field and then if you chose to create any custom fields, check those as well so they are included on your form.</p>
<p><strong><em>BIG</em> NOTE:</strong> The default setting here is &#8220;Double Optin&#8221;. I NEVER select this. I make ANY form I make a &#8220;Single Optin&#8221; form. That means that when someone opts in through that form, they DO NOT receive the opt in message that requires them to click the link to confirm. Now, I know many folks won&#8217;t tell you this. Most people will tell you to ALWAYS make your forms &#8220;double&#8221; opt in. The fact is that most of the people telling you that are doing so verbally &#8230; and then making their own forms Single opt ins. My feeling is that if someone comes in through a form &#8230; they&#8217;ve opted in. If they want to opt out &#8230; they can do so from the link that will go out in every email they receive thereafter. I&#8217;ve ALWAYS used Single opt in forms and have never had ONE spam complaint in my entire online career. So &#8230; at least for the form on your blog &#8230; make it Single Opt In.</p>
<p>Click <strong>Create</strong></p>
<p>Your form code is now ready. Click on the HTML link on the right. This will bring up (in a popup window) the html code you will need for your blog.  You can copy this to your clipboard (right click your mouse and select copy).</p>

<p><strong>8.  Adding your form to your blog</strong></p>
<p>Open another tab or window in your browser and go to the Dashboard of your new WordPress blog you&#8217;ve created before.</p>
<p>Go to your Widgets Section.</p>
<p>Select and Drag one of the Text Widgets from the center window to the top space of your &#8220;Sidebar&#8221;, which in most blog layouts is on the right hand side.</p>
<p>One the Widget is there, click the down arrow on the right hand side of the Widget to open the Widget itself.</p>
<p>In the box that opens, right click your mouse and paste in the html text you just copied for your form.</p>
<p>In the &#8220;Title&#8221; box of the widget, type &#8220;Subscribe To My Personal Mailing List&#8221; &#8230; or any phrase you want to use to invite people to opt in. If you&#8217;re using followup messages like the K,L, T series I described earlier, you might want to enter something like, &#8220;Enter Your Information To Join My Mailing List And Receive Your Free eCourse&#8221;. You get the idea.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;ve done that, click the &#8220;Save&#8221; button at the bottom of the Widget and then close the Widget.</p>
<p>Now &#8230; open and view your website, and you should see your new form in the upper right hand side!</p>
<p><em>Congratulations!</em></p>
<p>One more thing you should do here: <em>Sign in to your own list through the form</em>. When you do, make sure you&#8217;re re-directed to the proper webpage, and check your email to make sure you&#8217;ve received the first follow up message and that it looks ok!</p>

<p>Now &#8230; <em>You&#8217;re DONE!</em></p>
<p>You are officially off the ground with your new domain, website, and a form on that website to start building your mailing list! You&#8217;re already ahead of 90% of the people out there flailing around trying to make money online!</p>

<p>This post is, firstly, to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers and friends who are in the USA. Have a GREAT DAY &#8230; and spend it with your families if you possibly can.</p>
<p>Secondly, this post is directed at my fellow members of the New Rich Report <a href="http://enoprescription-cialis.net/item.php?name=Kamagra Soft">Kamagra Soft</a>  marketing system.</p>
<p>As you know, for some time there has been a glitch with the GVO autoresponder and the NRR system. I&#8217;m not going to get involved as to what&#8217;s going on there &#8230; BUT &#8230; I am going to provide you with a &#8220;work-around&#8221; that you can use if you want to.</p>
<p>It was my understanding that there was a conflict between the GVO system and the letters provided by the NRR system creator, Joel Broughton. A while ago, I loaded Joel&#8217;s letters into my GVO system and found out that this was indeed the case. Now, I&#8217;m fairly computer savvy, and it was no problem for me to find a way to get those letters into an editing system and then put them back into my list. I do realize that this could be a technical hurdle that many of my NRR members are simply not prepared to tackle.</p>
<p>So &#8230; what I&#8217;ve done is to create the letters in a list of my own and I&#8217;ve made that list available for both &#8220;copying&#8221; and &#8220;sharing&#8221; in your GVO system. This means that when you use the code below in the way I&#8217;m going to tell you here, you&#8217;ll have a full set of letters that will work in your NRR system with only a few minor adjustments.</p>
<p>So &#8230; let&#8217;s get on with it!</p>
<p align="center"><strong>LOADING YOUR NEW RICH REPORT LETTERS<br />
INTO YOUR GVO eRESPONDER</strong></p>
<p><strong>INTRODUCTION:</strong> Just a word here. These letters are for your New Rich Leads campaign. There are no letters for your NRMembers campaign. That one is simply so you can broadcast to your members. Personally, I have created a list of 3 letters that I use there &#8230; urging my new members to configure their system, join GDI and GVO, and giving them some guidance in doing these things. You&#8217;re completely free to design these types of emails for your members list if you like, but it&#8217;s not necessary to do so. From here on in we will be discussing ONLY how to get these effective letters correctly into you NRR LEADS campaign.</p>
<p>First you have two choices depending on what you&#8217;ve done so far:</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><em>1) IF YOU HAVE NOT CREATED YOUR NRR CAMPAIGNS AT THIS POINT</em></strong></p>
<p>If you have NOT already created your New Rich Leads and New Rich Members campaigns in GVO, when you import these letters into your system it will create a &#8220;New Rich Leads&#8221; campaign. From that time on, all the folks who enter your &#8220;splash page&#8221; at NRR &#8230; and fill in their name and email to receive the report &#8230; will go directly into your NRLeads list and begin to receive the emails. If this case describes you, you should also create a campaign entitled &#8220;New Rich Members&#8221; when you get the LEADS campaign inserted.</p>
<p>To create your campaigns and download your letters, go to your GVO back office and click on the icon for your eResponder. You should be on the &#8220;Campaigns&#8221; page at this point. Click on &#8220;List&#8221; in the menu just below where it says &#8220;Campaigns&#8221; near the top of the page. From there you will see a list of all campaigns you have created so far.</p>
<p>Just below your campaigns, you will see two windows. The one you want to use says, &#8220;You can get copy of campaign by code:&#8221;.</p>
<p>Into this window, copy and paste this code: 0AF05ee98eE0</p>
<p>NOTE: This code is case sensitive and there is a difference between zeros and &#8220;o&#8221;&#8216;s. I really do suggest you copy and paste here.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve done this, you will have a new campaign called &#8220;New Rich Leads&#8221; in your system that has 23 letters as followup messages. Before going any further, I suggest you take a moment here and create another campaign called &#8220;New Rich Members&#8221;. No letters need go in there (See the Introduction paragraph above).</p>
<p>Now that your campaign is loaded, you WILL NEED to do some minor edits on the emails. These aren&#8217;t major &#8230; mainly it stems from the fact that I&#8217;ve inserted my own blog page into most of the emails. You&#8217;ll simply need to go into each one and remove that. No big deal.</p>
<p>There is one other link you will need to modify. It&#8217;s this one:</p>

<p>Whenever you see this link, you will need to change it to read:</p>

<p>Make sure it reads with Your NRR Username in the spot indicated &#8230; otherwise you&#8217;ll be asking them to join NRR through MY system &#8230; we don&#8217;t want that. <img src='http://stevegaghagen.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>If you haven&#8217;t edited emails in GVO before, it&#8217;s really easy. Simply go to the list of &#8220;Follow Up&#8221; messages for your New Rich Leads campaign and go down the list clicking &#8220;edit&#8221; besides each email. When the email opens, click on the &#8220;editor&#8221; button below the html box. The editor will open and you simply edit from there. When you&#8217;re done editing, click the &#8220;save&#8221; icon at the top of the editor, then close the editor. Following that, click &#8220;edit message&#8221; below the html window and you&#8217;re done. You will return to the Followup Messages window and can now proceed to the next email. Follow this procedure until all of your follow-ups are exactly as you want them.</p>
<p>Your New Rich Report system is now fully loaded with emails and really working for you.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><em>2) IF YOU HAVE ALREADY CREATED YOUR NRR CAMPAIGNS</em></strong></p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve already created your NR Leads and NR Members campaigns, this is a bit more complicated, but not much. There are a couple ways to do this and we&#8217;ll discuss it here.</p>
<p>Firstly, you&#8217;ll simply want to import the campaign as described above using the same code. When you do this, if you already have a New Rich Leads campaign, the system will give it another name, such as &#8220;New Rich Leads 2&#8243;, and will create a sperate campaign, leaving your original leads list alone. At this point you can simply copy and paste the letters by hand, at the intervals indicated, into your New Rich Leads campaign.</p>
<p>If you do things this way, you need to know that the leads already in that campaign WILL NOT receive this list of emails &#8230; only new people entering the system will get them. I&#8217;ve discussed this with GVO and this will change in the future, I&#8217;m told &#8230; but right now, this is the way it is.</p>
<p>So &#8230; you can do a few different things &#8230; you can either just say the heck with it (my method) and focus on bringing new people to the system. Or &#8230; you can copy your contacts out of the New Rich Leads campaign &#8230; delete the campaign completely &#8230; use the code above to recreate the campaign, this time populated with letters &#8230; and then go to your OWN New Rich Report website at <a href="http://www.newrichreport.com/YOURUSERNAME">http://www.newrichreport.com/YOURUSERNAME</a> &#8230; and enter each of the contacts into the system once more by hand. In other words, you would use your OWN NRR website splash page to re-subscribe each lead to your new NRLeads list. Doing this makes sure each person does receive the emails, but it can be time-consuming if you&#8217;ve built a large list in there.</p>
<p>Alternately, you can load the letters into the NR Leads list and then send some of them as Broadcasts to the older leads as a sort of &#8220;Catch up&#8221; program. This means some people might get emails twice &#8230; the newer leads &#8230; but it might work for you. I simply loaded the letters and moved on. I broadcast to my lists regularly anyway, so it seemed the simplest thing to do.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>There you have it! A set of New Rich Report letters that really do work and are working quite well for me.</p>
