HERE’S EXACTLY WHAT I DID LAST SATURDAY MORNING

Mailed Information Using Four Online Tools  …
… And Here Are The Results!

 I’m constantly being asked, “Steve, you have a lot of resources listed on your Resource Page … which ones work best for you?”

With that in mind, I decided at the end of last week, to make a test using four of my favorite tools and to pass my results on to you so you could see exactly why I like them.

To prepare for the test, I chose one program I’m involved in and really like as the subject of my advertising … Prosperity Rising. To make the results plain, I stopped all advertising of PR last Wednesday to let things die down a bit. By Friday I was certain they had since I had no signups in PR that day.

The four tools I chose for the test were ListJoe, Business World List, Ad Tactics, and Desktop Lightning. These are not all exactly the same thing, but they all involve an online list of some kind that I can mail to. I am an upgraded member in each one. I’m upgraded because I know they work, and this test was designed to give you an example of just how well they do work.

On Saturday morning, with no signups in Prosperity Rising since Thursday morning … and reasonably sure that any signups in the next few days would be the result of the advertising done through my four test subject tools … I put together a short email concerning Prosperity Rising and sent it out.

At ListJoe, my email went to just over 5000 people. At Business World List it went to just over 96,000 people. The total at Ad Tactics was about 65,000, and at Desktop Lightning it was 1,400.

A couple of hours after the mailing, the signups began at Prosperity Rising. By Sunday afternoon I had received 9 signups in PR with 2 upgrades to Diamond (which earned me commissions at the rate of $68 each).

My original intention had been to summarize and post results on Sunday evening. However, ListJoe and Desktop Lightning both allow me to see just how many of my emails had been opened. ListJoe actually shows me how many times my PR link had been clicked. On Sunday when I checked, both those sources showed that I still had a long way to go before reaching the average amount of opens and clicks. This isn’t unusual on the weekends … people have other things to do besides sit at their computers and open emails. So I decided to let things ride for one more day to see how it went. I would post the final results on Monday evening. That would give the process Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to complete.

Well, here it is Monday evening, and the final results of my test of these four advertising sources are in. As of this evening, I’ve received 12 signups in Prosperity Rising, with 1 Upgrade resulting in $68.50 in commissions. Keep in mind that the commissions may increase as people who have signed up see the value in PR and upgrade later. Also remember that the real point here … speaking in the all important longer term … is that my mailing list has increased by the number of signups. I believe all but one of these signups came directly from this advertising campaign, so all but one are new additions to the list of folks on my mailing list.

These are great stats, but I don’t believe they are unusual for these advertising sources.

AND … I should say one thing more here: I also don’t believe it was anything special about the email I sent. Now, may people have told me I write well. In fact, I’ve had people tell me they think I get some kind of exceptional results because of my writing skills and what I’m capable of when composing an email. Well, I wanted to take that out of play so … and here’s the clincher about this test … I didn’t compose my own email. I simply copied one of the suggested emails right out of the Prosperity Rising back office, formatted it with my links and information … and sent it out without any changes.

What does this all say?

If you have a good program to promote … and Prosperity Rising is a GREAT little program … and you use the right advertising tools like the 4 I used in this test … ANYONE can have the same results.

If you’re looking for just a few advertising tools that you can focus on that REALLY WORK, I hope you’ll keep this little test/demonstration in your mind. In my opinion, if someone is just getting started in this business and wants to start small, just joining those five programs … Prosperity Rising as the basis with the other four as promotional tools … they could start making money very quickly with a minimum of investment. Remember, upgrading in all of them really does help, and we’re not talking astronomical sums here. The upgrades in all of these are very inexpensive for the increase in effectiveness, and I do recommend them.

One other note: What do you think I’ll be doing the very next time a mailing is available in each of the four tools tested? That’s right … I’ll be mailing again. I may even use the exact same mailing, and continue to do so until my results begin to drop. Then I’ll simply switch up the email! There are other “swipe” emails suggested right there in the Prosperity Rising system. I may simply choose to switch to another one of those! What could be easier?
